1 TRIMABOUT THE BMW I7
The BMW i7 xDrive60 is not an electric sports sedan enlarged to flagship size. It is a 7 Series that uses electricity to make luxury quieter. Two electric motors provide all-wheel drive and roughly 544 hp, but the number is less important than the absence of vibration and the immediate, smooth response available at any speed. That character suits a chauffeur-driven luxury car surprisingly well. Cariary sees the i7’s real argument in the rear cabin, technology, and sense of isolation rather than its acceleration figures. The trade-off is scale: this is a very large, heavy, and expensive EV, and its efficiency cannot match smaller electric sedans. It competes most directly with the Mercedes-Benz EQS and other flagship EVs, while remaining more visually connected to a conventional luxury sedan. Buyers should judge charging access, real highway range, rear-seat specification, and wheel choice—not horsepower alone.
