BMW M240i at a glance
The BMW M240i is the M Performance derivative of the G42 2 Series Coupe, positioned between the four-cylinder 230i and the full M2. Its 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six produces 382 hp and is paired with an eight-speed automatic; the rear-wheel-drive model reaches 60 mph in 4.5 seconds, while xDrive cuts that to 4.1 seconds. Unlike the M2, the M240i prioritizes daily-road comfort and automatic-transmission usability while still delivering the six-cylinder character missing from the regular 230i.
