BMW M440i at a glance
The BMW M440i adds a 386-hp 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six mild-hybrid powertrain to the 4 Series Coupe, Convertible and Gran Coupe bodies. Every version uses an eight-speed automatic and is available with rear-wheel drive or xDrive, with official acceleration spanning 4.2 seconds for the xDrive Coupe to 5.0 seconds for the rear-drive Convertible. It sits above the 430i in straight-line performance and standard chassis equipment but below the full M4, which uses a more specialized engine, suspension and body structure.
