The Cadillac CT5-V adds meaningful performance to the CT5 without becoming the extreme CT5-V Blackwing. A twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 and 10-speed automatic provide strong midrange acceleration, while the rear-wheel-drive platform, adaptive chassis technology and available all-wheel drive give it broader everyday usability. The result is a fast luxury sedan that can commute quietly yet still feels purpose-built when the road opens up. Cariary sees the CT5-V as the more usable performance choice in the family: less dramatic than the 668-hp Blackwing, but easier to exploit and easier to live with. Buyers should keep the V and V Blackwing specifications separate, because their engines, transmissions, performance and pricing are fundamentally different despite the similar names.
