The current Chevrolet Traverse is a three-row family crossover built around space and everyday usefulness rather than the heavier truck-based approach of the Tahoe. Its 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder produces 328 hp and is paired with an eight-speed automatic, with front-wheel drive standard on most versions and all-wheel drive available. Up to eight seats can be specified on the LT, while the Z71 adds a twin-clutch all-wheel-drive system and terrain-focused hardware. Chevrolet quotes up to 98 cubic feet of cargo volume and a 5,000-pound towing capacity with the included trailering equipment, giving the Traverse a practical middle ground between smaller two-row crossovers and full-size SUVs.
