1 TRIMABOUT THE MERCEDES-AMG C43 CABRIOLET
The Mercedes-AMG C 43 Cabriolet combines the facelifted W205-era C-Class platform with a fabric roof, all-wheel drive and a twin-turbocharged V6 producing around 390 hp in later versions. It is not as theatrical as a V8 C 63 Cabriolet, but that can make it the more usable open-top AMG. The nine-speed automatic and 4MATIC system deliver secure, accessible speed, while the four-seat layout gives it more everyday flexibility than a two-seat roadster. Cariary sees the C 43 Cabriolet as a grand-touring choice: fast enough to feel special, comfortable enough for longer journeys and less demanding than the C 63. The trade-offs are added weight, reduced luggage space with the roof stowed and the complexity of a powered convertible top. Used buyers should check roof operation, water sealing and service records as carefully as the engine specification.
