The facelifted X253 Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC brought a strong twin-turbocharged V6 to Mercedes’ compact luxury SUV. Later versions produce roughly 390 hp in global specification, paired with a nine-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. It delivers useful real-world speed and traction without the expense or aggressive character of the V8 GLC 63. Cariary sees the GLC 43 as the practical performance choice in this generation: it retains family-friendly space, a comfortable driving position and easier daily manners while still feeling clearly quicker than a regular GLC. Buyers should distinguish it from the newer X254 GLC 43, which replaces the V6 with an electrified four-cylinder and has a different personality. On used examples, option packages, wheel size and suspension condition matter; the largest wheels improve the stance but can reduce the comfort that makes the 43 appealing.
