1 TRIMABOUT THE MERCEDES-AMG GT43
The Mercedes-AMG GT 43 4MATIC+ 4-Door Coupe is the entry six-cylinder version of the X290 fastback. Its turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six uses 48-volt assistance and produces roughly 367 hp in early global specifications, although outputs vary by year and market. The long body, four usable doors and hatchback-style cargo access make it far more practical than the two-door AMG GT sports car. Cariary sees the GT 43 as a design and grand-touring purchase rather than the performance hero of the range. It delivers smooth speed, all-wheel-drive security and a dramatic cabin without the V8 running costs of a GT 63. The question is value: a well-equipped E-Class can provide similar daily usefulness for less money. Buyers who choose the GT 43 are paying for the lower stance, wider presence and more exclusive feel—and that visual distinction is a legitimate part of the decision.
