3 TRIMSABOUT THE MERCEDES-BENZ EQA
The Mercedes-Benz EQA 250 is the front-wheel-drive entry model of Mercedes’ compact electric SUV range. Early versions use a single electric motor producing about 190 hp, while battery capacity, efficiency and charging performance vary with model year. It shares much of its structure and cabin with the combustion-powered GLA, which makes it familiar and easy to use but less spacious and purpose-built than newer EV platforms. Cariary sees the EQA 250 as an urban premium EV rather than a long-distance technology showcase. Its strengths are manageable size, quiet operation and a conventional Mercedes interior. Buyers should compare usable battery capacity, charging curve and real-world range—not only the advertised figure—and confirm local fast-charging compatibility. For frequent motorway travel, newer or larger Mercedes EVs may be more convincing; for daily commuting, the 250 can be the rational EQA.
