ABOUT THE MERCEDES-BENZ GLC

Mercedes-Benz GLC at a glance

The Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 is the stronger mainstream petrol model in the X254 GLC family. Its turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder uses 48-volt mild-hybrid assistance and produces about 255 hp in U.S. specification, driving through a nine-speed automatic. Rear-wheel drive or 4MATIC availability depends on market. Cariary sees the GLC 300 as the range’s balance point: enough performance for motorway driving and family loads without the cost or firmness of an AMG version. The portrait-style display and technology-heavy cabin create strong showroom appeal, but wheel size and options can change the real driving experience substantially. Buyers should distinguish drivetrain configuration, inspect equipment lists and test the ride on imperfect roads. A well-specified GLC 300 often makes more sense than chasing performance that reduces comfort and increases ownership expense.
