The 2026 Subaru BRZ is the exception to Subaru's all-wheel-drive norm: a compact rear-wheel-drive sports coupe developed alongside the Toyota GR86. Its 2.4-liter naturally aspirated flat-four produces 228 hp and 184 lb-ft with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic. The tS adds STI-tuned suspension and Brembo brakes but retains the same output, so the selector separates transmissions rather than appearance or chassis packages.
