The 2026 Subaru Forester range uses standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive across gasoline and hybrid models. The regular 2.5-liter flat-four produces 180 hp, while the Subaru Hybrid Drive version combines a 2.5-liter engine with electric motors for 194 total system horsepower. Wilderness adds ground clearance, gearing and off-road equipment but keeps the 180-hp gasoline engine, so it is grouped with that powertrain.
